Joseph Lowthorpe and Jordan Andrews from WAMS have both been chosen as Finalists in the 2014 MBA WA Ric New Awards.
The awards are the “Ric New Medal for Excellence” and the “Ric New Rising Star”. Both awards focus on practical achievement, overcoming adversity and potential contribution to the building industry rather than academic performance. They are presented annually in conjunction with the Master Builders Apprentice of the Year Awards in November and recognise outstanding potential, work ethic and commitment in the context of their current and future contribution to the building industry in Western Australia.
The “Ric New Medal for Excellence” is for adults aged 35 and younger while the “Ric New Rising Star” is for younger people up to 25 years.
Joseph Lowthorpe is a Finalist in the “Ric New Medal for Excellence” and is the Drafting Manager at WAMS. He has expertise in 2D and 3D hard and electronic formats and has been instrumental in ensuring WAMS delivers quality projects that are easier for clients to understand and for sub-contractors to deliver.
Jordan Andrews is a Finalist in the “Ric New Rising Star” and is HSEQ Co-Ordinator at WAMS. She joined WAMS only two years ago but has made an immediate impact in the areas of Safety and Quality. She was instrumental in improving the safety of WAMS service technicians by enabling digital and mobile access to all MSDS, SWMS and other important Safety and Quality documentation.
